Dear Colleagues,
2008 is now almost lying behind us. A year of many new activities in the UIP.
We started the International Advisory Board and the UIP-Newsletter, an instrument to provide you with more information about UIP-activities.
These activities should also help towards a more intense communication between phlebologists worldwide.
Another major activity was the inauguration of consensus groups, working towards a worldwide curriculum of phlebology. I thank all the active colleagues for their engagement in these projects.
In addition JJ Guex, Michael Schadeck, Horst Gerlach and I prepared the next World Congress of the UIP which will take place in Monte Carlo August 31st – September 4th 2009 - the best time of the year at the Côte d´Azur!
The scientific programme will provide you with the most actual results in our field and the social programme will be gorgeous!

If you want to reserve a hotel room near the congress site, you should be quick. Many rooms have already been booked.
